Boyz N the Hood

In 1984, Central Los Angeles, Tre is the only child of Furious. When Tre was a little, he lived with his mom who was divorced with his father , she had hard time to raise him up alone as a “man”. After that Tre has lived his father. His father is very smart , but not kind. Tre has a trouble in his adolescent hood and hard time with gun fire in black community. One day , his best friend, Ricky was killed by other black gang and his brother did do revenge and died, too.

I think that it is very different with who movie director is. If movie directors who is white make African American movie, they deal with segregation, desire about freedom, or process of accomplishing their goal. Also, in the movie, they can tell us African American can be saved their life by White people. However, is it the same as African American movie which made by African American director? Sometimes it is or not. They can explain ‘increase peace’ like as the end of the movie.

Who is enemy of African American? Most of people can think easily answer that it is White. But it is not. The answer is black. In the beginning of this movie, we can see “ One out of every twenty-one Black Americans male will be murdered in their lifetime.” “Most will die at the hands of another Black male”.

Main Characters in this movie are Tre, Ricky and Darin. Drain is a gang, and Ricky is a football player and Tre is a smart and kind. The reason how Tre keep good personality and concept of his life is his father. His father is very strict and smart. One day, Ricky died suddenly when he went to market. It was very shock and cruel violent. I think it is warning about whoever can die easily in black community. As a result, Tre and Darin decided to revenge to killer, but Tre stopped it. He realized that it is not meaningful anymore and they should stop.

It is great movie. It represents that problems in Black community and explain how to solve their problem. It is right decision in real world.

Cinderella's story

When I was a little, I saw “Cinderella”. It was fantastic and I really enjoyed to watch this movie. However, recently, I saw it again, and I just complained about the story even though the movie’s content and form are excellent. The problem is that despite Cinderella is beautiful and kind, she , also, is stupid and very lucky girl who was just depend on her fortune.

Cinderella, She was an only child in rich family. Her mother passed away first, and she got step mother. After that, finally, her father passed away, too, and her life was changed, totally. She was a rich girl, but she had to take care of her step sister and step mother without any money as a maid of her house after his death. She was beautiful and kind. But, it was all she has. She didn’t complain her life and seemed to be so positive. However, it looked like stupid women who cannot against her situation. Actually, why was she against her step family even though she was actual master of her house? Why did she take care of her stepfamily as a maid without complaining? I think that stepfamily weren’t very bad. Cinderella obeyed them, naturally. She had a sympathy about herself, but the problem started with herself. She dreamt and hope about something, but didn’t try to against her life.

I think that stepmother is better person than Cinderella in modern society. Even her behavior was very bad to Cinderella, it came from being love her ugly daughters. She was like an evil, but she was an elegance and smart women. She used her knowledge and beauty for her daughters. Even step mother tried to do something for her daughter, what does Cinderella do?

The ending part also represents how stupid Cinderella is.
I think that when stepmother noticed something is going on, she should have stopped or controlled her behavior. She represented everything about she and prince’s relationship .

I don’t hate Walt Disney movie. However, when I grew up, I can watch the movie different of view.
Cinderella was one of famous fairy tale, but I’m not sure about it really can be helpful to be real female!

Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus

My boyfriend and I have been together for over 1year. He is older than me 4 years, and he is pre-dental school student. He is very kind, hard worker and funny. Usually, he wanted me to look mature, so he always insisted me on to respect him. However, I don’t agree on him even he is older than me. The reason is that his behavior is not mature enough when I saw him. For example, when we decided to go out side for dinner together, he never decided where we will go out or what we choose the menu. Actually, I wanted to meet someone who has a leadership to lead on me before I decide. But, he is totally out of my wish. Also, although I decided where and what we are going to do, he started to complain about my decision. I don’t understand why he is doing right that even he couldn’t decide it. At first time, I thought that his behavior is by his personality, but now, it is not. Recently, I am considered to a pattern which I met someone especially men. It is almost same. Most of the time when I met someone as a men, they wanted me to decide everything such as where we can go or what we can eat. When they asked me to decide, I had a hard time. Because I didn’t want to do it, I wanted him to do it for me. However, I never said that “No, you have to decide it “to them. One day, I was very annoying this happen repeatly; I asked my boyfriend why you never decide something. His answer was kind of shock to me. He said that he wanted to care about me and respect my decision. Also, he was loved to do what I want with him. To tell the truth, I though that he is not able to have enough “determination”,and his capacity about social skill is limited. However, his thought is pretty different. His behavior from the past to right now is focus on me. After that, I realized that we have totoally different point of view about taking care of each other. Finally, I started to read “Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus”.

In this Book , the author Dr.John Gray is telling us several things. Gray explains how these differences can come between the sexes and prohibit mutually fulfilling loving relationships. Gray shows how men and women react differently in conversation and how their relationships are affected by male intimacy cycles ("get close", "back off"), and female self-esteem fluctuations ("I'm okay", "I'm not okay"). He encourages readers to accept the other gender's particular way of expressing love, and helps men and women learn how to fulfill each other's emotional needs.

Actually, I think that I had not show my own opinion. When I had a chance to decide something, I always though what kind of decision made him comfortably, first ,even I was not consider what I think about that by myself. As I read, I have same problem what he mentioned in the book. Women use different words with men even it has same spelling. When men asked men about something, I answered “I’m okay” or “I’m fine”. However, it is not really find and okay. I wished him to ask me again ,again and then start conversation. Men just understood I was really fine. Women wanted him to know their mind without saying anything. I think that women like “surprise” include me. On the other hand, if I cannot say anything about my mind, anyone can know what I think. It is weird!!

I think that Men and Women are totally different species. It is impossible to totally understand each other, that process make people tired. However, the reason of why people keep wanting to have relationship with men and women is "happiness". When the God made a man and woman, he wanted them to spend happy time together. The reason why the God made diffrent speicies as man and woman don't know, but it probably that it looks great. People can have happiness through loving and talking each other with different gender. Also they can find the reason why they have to live with man and women though control their emotion each other. I,also, will figure it out, too.
